I thought Ash said in her web-chat that she had just done a photo shoot for the NHS anti-smoking campaign? Surely she couldn't just have meant that one little pic that appears on her page? I assumed that was just a part of it, and that she was the poster girl for a wider campaign. Could be wrong. Often am. She did some pictures for the Daily Star which were published last Monday I think.

I would like to ask a sensible question. I see as others have that there is a chart to show who has donated to this Charity. It appears ( as someone else has mentioned) that there have only been donations online..i.e., on the internet. If this campaign has been in the National Press are we to assume that nobody outside of the internet or Aisleyne Websites has donated to this Charity Or is there a fault with the site that it does not show what is being given outside of internet links. I would have thought that regardless of whether people liked Aisleyne or not, if they consider that Cancer is a very worthy charity they would have been falling over themselves to donate. This figure however has not gone up very much and there are as I see some exceptionally generous and well meaning Fakers... You would think the General Public would be more involved would,nt you?? Here is the link for the Cancer Research Charity for anyone who would like to read about where they are donating their money. www.cancerresearchuk.org/I see they also have their own page where you can directly fundraise for them.

Aisleyne's 'Justgiving' page is just for people sponsoring Ash over the internet in her anti-smoking campaign; not for general donations to cancer research, although certainly that is where all the money going to end up.
I would imagine that there are other pages for other people raising money for the same cause, so this is just Ash's personal contribution to the campaign.
I'm not sure if she is also raising money offline, but there is a section for that on the page, which at the moment is at zero, but the figure for that might be added at the end of the campaign. I would think that if Ash is dedicated, she would ask her family and friends, people at her management and agency etc, to donate and this figure would count to the offline amount.
As far as I know the address of this page hasn't been widely publicised. You can find it from the main 'Justgiving' webpage with difficulty, but I've never seen any adverts in the press or posters, but I stand to be corrected. More publicity is obviously needed.
Obviously it all comes down to wether Ash is just lending her name to this, or wether she's going to get actively involved in fund raising. Either way it doesn't take away from the fact that this is a worthy cause, and hopefully will encourage youngsters to give up smoking, or better yet, not to start in the first place.

The Just Giving Site is just another way to collect your sponsor money.
It is a handy way to collect money, rather than lugging it around than having to send it in by cheque.
Loads of people use it for all sorts of charities. Famous, not famous etc.,
As I said above, I collected money in person then used the Just giving site to send it all to Cancer Research.
I gave to Aisleyne as I support anything to do with cancer, not because I am a faker.
As far as I am concerned if that is all she raises then so be it, it is better than nothing.
Regardless of wether Aisleyne is the "poster girl" for the NHS campaign she is still suporting it, so what is the problem? The money can only go to the charity that is listed on the site.
Orla did one last year and she did not raise much, but she auctioned herself on ebay and raised a ton.

The guy that wrote that Blog has his own name mentioned on the first page on the left hand side. Seems hes raising money himself and got to his target. Wonder what made him do a write up for Aisleyne??

Wonder what made him do a write up for Aisleyne?? I assume he works for Justgiving and maintains their blog. Here are some details about the blog... justgiving.typepad.com/justgivings_blog/2006/08/welcome_to_the_.html
