Some good pictures there Alice. Not just the Mute Swan but also the out and about around town photos and the stormy weather shots.

Im going to Castle Espie on tuesday to take pics for a Nikon photo competition just for the experience. I have entered some in an Adobe comp but Im not holding my breath as the standard is very high. But it gives me an excuse to get out and about, plus it would be hard to take a bad photo round here its just so beautiful. Castle Espie is a wetlands and wildlife centre btw. Have you been out spotting of late?

I haven't been out much recently. I'd lost my binoculars (they'd fallen very awkwardly behind a wardrobe) and my camera's broken, which is why I was thinking of treating myself to a new one. Which one did you get Alice? I know it was a Canon EOS but which model?

I got a Nikon D70
I already have a canon.
The price of the canon 350d is coming down.
The catch is you need an around lens if you dont have loads of cash to spare.

So far here are some I took today at the wildfowl and wetlands trust. www.flickr.com/photos/dogtired/Prem has one and he has had his longer than me so I think he would be a better judge. I think I need a bigger lens, one with a bit more range.

The picture of the male on his own is really good.
