Becki's Song For Ash

Sorry if this is the wrong sub-board, but some of you may know that this week Becki did a series of live shows with her college in front of sell-out crowds in the North West.

As part of the shows, Becki was one of only 3 people to have a solo singing spot and she sang "Wonderful" by India Arie and at each performance dedicated it to Aisleyne. If you don't know the song, try listening to the early Ash radio shows.

It's a fitting song for Ash and I know how proud the lady herself was that Becks was dedicating her performances to her.

Hope everyone will join me in saying well done to Becki - we're all super proud of you! I hope your **** of a tutor lets you have the DVD as Ash'd love to see it. You'll go far, babe.

As someone who really ought to be banned from singing in public(I have been practising a group version of Amarillo for a leavers assembly - hence all the bad weather), I would like to echo Bengos' words of congratulations to Becki for what I assume was a top drawer performance. I have only ever once sung a solo in public and it was easily the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done. I will never do it again.

So I admire your guts Becki.

Thankyou so much for all your lovely comments, it means a lot to me.
As a lot of you may know, i'm an actress, not a singer, so i was a bit nervous the first time i went on stage to sing it, but i just kept thinking of everyone, all my family, my friends, Asha-leeeeeen and it made me smile loads and gave me the confidence to do it. The audience were really nice, especially last night, coz it was the last show, everyone was buzzing and i was in tears when i came off stage...lol...how sad am i?!!!xxxxx

That's really sweet Becki - i'm glad it was a good buzz for you. I know the audience would have loved it too as the performance came from the heart and though you're an actress first, you're still a great singer.

Thankyou soooooo much for all your support. Its so ace to know that i have so much support. I'm singing another song on tuesday and dedicating it to my Mum, coz Aisleyne and My mum are my heroes and i believe that singing isnt just about singing a song, but you gotta mean the words aswell. How deep does that sound? lol xxxx
