It's coming back to me now... First I right-clicked on one of the small pictures and clicked Properties. Then I clicked and dragged the mouse over the address (URL) - all of it, not just the visible part - and copied to the clipboard. Next, I pasted the address to the image into the address bar and took out the "tn_" bit which was making it point to the thumbnail version. Then it was just a case of changing the numbers to see what would come up.
I've no idea whether it'll work elsewhere, but it's worth trying.
