dogtired, it was bandied about a couple of days after the finale; aisleyne (or her team)apparently was approached by choice fm, chris moyles' team and richard & judy team; all were turned down: 'too busy'. what can we aisleyne watchers do but sit about and wait? we've emailed and phoned around but there has to be a limit before it becomes nuisance-contacting. i've stopped for now myself.

Julian You say the delivery of Ais's broadcast was amateurish, is she not an amateur. I don't really get your point there. I have not heard the whole broadcast but for someone who says she is shy she came across very well she had charisma and she was funny. A few lessons and she will be fine. I think she sounded like an amateur unlike most of the others who all sounded a lot more polished and confident. I don't like criticizing Aisleyne because I think she's brilliant and some of what she had to say was funny but it wasn't delivered very well IMO and in the interests of "keeping it real" I thought that it might be as well to point out that not everyone thinks that was a good performance (including Aisleyne herself!). It wasn't totally awful but in comparison to some of the other ones I actually think, objectively, that it was one of the worst. On the other hand, maybe I'm not objective. Maybe I want Aisleyne to do so well in everything that I end up being hypercritical when she falls short of the excellence I want from her At the end of the day, it's only my opinion. As for the controversial questions I wasn't criticizing her for those at all I was just mentioning them as a point of interest. Particularly given that they were edited out of the podcast. Regards Julian

ILWM, I don't know how, but I didn't notice this thread until now. Thanks very much for putting up the links. The one with Lea and the hillbilly one make me laugh out loud every time.
One thing that I noticed about Aisleyne's sense of humour was that it was never b@tchy. When she joked about others, she nearly always did so when they were there and nearly always made them laugh and (importantly) often made them feel better about themselves. That's not an easy trick to pull off. It's much easier to get laughs by putting other people down.

Also Ash always laughs at herself as well, which is gr8, as I luv people who can laugh at themseleves. xx

Regards Julian Of course you are entitled to your own opinion, like I am to mine. (No offence was intended by the way) With regards to Ais not liking it, in my observations of her she always puts herself down. Or should I say that she underates herself, which is one of the things that holds her back.

That's not an easy trick to pull off. It's much easier to get laughs by putting other people down. A good example of this was when Glyns hair colour didn't quite turn out as planned - it had quite a lot of ginger through it. Richard, Nikki, Pete and the rest told him it didn't look too bad when they were in the bathroom together - then burst out in a fit of laughter as soon as he left telling each other how awful it looked. When he approached Ais though she giggled and made a humourous comment about it, but said it in an affectionate way - where he was able to laugh about it himself - they were both able to laugh about it togethr - and she gave him a consoling cuddle as well which he seemed to appreciate. And you're right Remaha - being able to be honest and have humour in potentially emotional situations where people can be offended easily or take things the wrong way is a very difficult thing to do and Ais does manage to pull it off extremely well - and I think part of it is because she actually does care about the other persons feelings. I hope Glyn looks back on the footage. I know if it was me that had been on national TV, which of the two reactions I would have preferred.

I would definitely agree there. A bit more self-confidence would help her enormously. Of course, placing in the top 3 in BB is definitely a good step in that direction ;D Regards Julian

I duno where to post this but i just found this clip whilst having a stroll in youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=znNw0ZlLYsoSoz if you have already seen it or if its already been posted, its Aisleyne dancing but I don’t think she's dancing to the music on the video. I like it an it's quite funny.
