Closer to the Surrey Tavern actually, although it's not called that any more except on the 319 bus stop. Not giving any more clues though . . . Dont worry, I wont go knocking on doors I just know the County Arms, have been there a few times with friends. It used to be really nice when Renee and Linda were running it, but havent been there for about a year now. I was brought up in Wandsworth, but not that area - top of West Hill. I've never been to the County Arms! I might give it a try. Hardly ever go to pubs these days. I guess that's why they're all shutting down. I suppose it's a Youngs pub?

I live in Lewes, it's about a 10 minute drive away from Brighton. Snap! This is the first time I've ever met someone from the same town as me on a forum. Wierd.

I'm close enough to the Channel filming of "Princess Nikki" to have nipped down casually to watch it. I didn't though. I didn't know it was being filmed there. However, the "crowd" that was reported probably consisted of the Special Brew drinker that always hang around that area during the day.

It IS a Youngs pub, I believe!! We went with friends a few times and really liked it - good food and a really nice atmosphere. If you went for Sunday lunch, there would be couples sharing a bottle of wine and reading the papers, and groups of friends playing scrabble and stuff- really relaxed. But we havent been there for about a year, so it may well have gone downhill for all I know!!
