The Past and Present DS'ers Support Thread

Today in complete shock I heard that more of the long term members of DS like myself have been banned and yet the long term trolls remain. Short term trolls get banned but the trigger happy long term trolls are left to merrily wend their way around causing bother for long term DS'ers who have the temerity to fight back.

I'm sorry to upset anyone running this forum but it needed to be said by me and also there was a post about Channel 4 forums.

I really think that only safe houses like this forum are safe anymore.

Why are long term stable DS'ers being banned like they are short term trolls?

If you respond to this, please on no account name names.

I really think DS:BB is going down the toilet. It's turning into a pro Pete and Nikki only forum. Any dissent is being banned into submission.

I'm a DSBB forum regular & have been there for years & have never been banned. I'm not sure who it is you are referring to as I have been mainly just on one thread today.

Do you have any idea as to why people have been banned today?

It was on a thread on Pete. It might be on your thread or the other one. Actually there's a few bannings appearing on your thread. Some deserved (the Ais haters), some not.

I don't think it's anyone quite as long serving as you EddyBee.

The bans do seem to be ridiculous on DS. Some people get away with agressive posts, deliberate trolling etc while others are banned for posting a *yawn* smilie Its stupid.

The Nikki and Pete thread on there has now also become a joke. It doesn't discuss things rationally as it once did, its twisting the truth and I've found there's no point trying to argue anymore. They also say pretty vile things about Lea - and were planning an asault on the Daddy Fantastc forum. Yet if anyone says anything on their thread they're up in arms. Some posters on that thread have my respect, but some are worse than the trolls that invade Ash threads. I'm staying away from it now.

Can i just say that on DS even if your a banned member you can still post? i noticed one member with the words banned member - *it shows i have no clue about a Digital Spy forums lol* so can you post while still being banned?

I just got over a 2 day ban in DS:BB; I merely tried to shock a perpetual Aisleyne hater on Sunday about trolling and suffered the ban. I did not know for over a day as I was away from home, heh. However the moderators are pretty useless it seems to me; not caring sometimes to ban the right ones, the real troublemakers and just sweep up all the user names and ban the lot. No names no pack drill, good point!
I'm just going to post any information I might get from now on in DS:BB (not just about Aisleyne btw) and maybe ask the occasional question. Any tosspot posts I'll ignore...it's easy really.
It has to be accepted though that DS:BB is still the best place to get Aisleyne info...bar none...so don't get yourself IP-banned there.

I got a 24hr ban and feel no regret. I was new and stepped on the wrong toes, but I've just learned of a ban that's shocked me. For those still there you might know who I'm referring to.

I referred to another DSFM as a sniper. I didn't think it was that bad as an analogy because the poster seemed to come from left field and have a go at Ash.

I now try to gently deflect the trolls or just ignore them. I post less but am less stressed. I'm making some new friends over there but it's nice to see familiar names here.

I'm now merely a reader of the DS forum.

There have been some shock bannings lately. And some get away with anything.

Thanks everyone for responding. DS used to be a brilliant place to post. Now it's absolutely awful.
