If her mother knows this, and ignored her, heartless is not the word. Spot on. In fact I can think of quite a few words to describe her mother but I can't put them down in a nice polite forum like this! Religion is no excuse. I have close friends who are Baptists. They don't turn anyone away, regardless of their beliefs. I don't put this down to her mother being a Jehovah's Witness. Perhaps her mother is just a complete *****! i FULLY agree ...and i think thats a whole other matter isn't it frisky =( .. religion seems to be another bigotry now.. surely its going against its very own beliefs....
when a mother chooses to disown/ignore/reject (?) her child simply because of that you have to question the religion.. arrgghh!

I have alot of time for Lea. She was very philosophical about things when interviewed in the winner's week thing. If she also hid her cancer experience, then she is stronger than I though. I've not bought any of the magazines that have had articles with Lea.. infact- i haven't read any at all.. so i'm taking the cancer story from other peoples quotes from magazines but i'm sure she had ovarian cancer twice and is partly the reason for her having extension and her eye brows tatoo'd...
I don't think this became common knowledge until Lea broke the story herself after leaving BB

Aisleyne did mention this on BB but only very briefly.
I remember she said that she had lost a baby, it was in the early days. I cant remember who she was talking to, but I think it may have been Lea, Suzie.

I'm actually gobsmacked that people think she's trying to "cash in" on what must have an extremely traumatic event for those involved.

I'm actually gobsmacked that people think she's trying to "cash in" on what must have an extremely traumatic event for those involved. So am I. I've just been reading the thread on DS and although most of them have sympathy for Ash and can see no reason why she (or anyone else suffering a miscarriage)should keep it a secret, there are a few who actually claim the girl is telling the story for sympathy. We are not in the dark ages where people have to shove things under the carpet.Lots of people in the media have disscussed miscarriages before and it has helped others to deal with their own heartache. I am so annoyed at the moment, the fact that Ash haters will even use this against her riles me to the core.

I feel so bad for Aisleyen. She has been through so much. It is really horrible to think that people will still be slating her for this. In fact it has already started on the BB forum. Some people will just not give her a break. I feel quite spooked at the Now story because last week when I read she was doing an exclusive with a magazine I had a dream that it was about her losing an unborn baby. I remember waking up feeling horrible and being glad it was only a dream. My heart went in my mouth when I read the headline on the NOW site today. I know it is only a coincidence, but I still feel really weird all the same. Poor Ais.

I've read this magazine article now, and I think it's really well done and not exploitative at all. The picture of Ash inside is also lovely, really soft and feminine. I can't imagine anyone thinking she was 'cashing in' in any way if they read it. After all, there's also an article in the same magazine about Michelle from the Apprentice (who I also have respect for) and her miscarriage and I would be amazed at anyone who could have anything but compassion for either of these young women.

That is a very good article, and very sad reading at times. The pictures are lovely as well. It helps me to understand Ash a bit more, and to like her even more than I did before. (if that's possible). I can't believe the haters are even having a go at her for this. Even though I dislike Nikki, I can still feel for her through her problems with her eating disorder.
