I'm so glad that you are finding respite on this forum 6alives it can be so difficult when a loved one is in hospice but in my experience they are wonderfully caring places that will care for your Mum as well as you, take care of yourself

I'm sorry to hear that. I know things must be really tough for you right now.

You probably don't have much spare time, but if you do get the chance, see if you can get a book called The Primacy of Caring by Patricia Benner out of the library. Its acutally a nursing book (and can be a bit heavy/philosophical in many parts) but there are many sections that the relatives of the terminally ill like yourself might get comfort and strength from, that it would be worth just a skim read.

Stay strong and I'm glad this place has turned out to be a positive distraction for you

6alives. I went through the same experience with my own mother just three years ago. I know only too well that no amount of words I could say would ever be enough.
Just stay strong and please try not to neglect yourself too much. I appreciate how easy it can sometimes be to completley forget about taking care of 'you' in this situation.
