Hi. I've got a question about image posting. I posted a couple of images. They weren't especially large 282 x 450 approx 18 KB. After a little while I noticed the images had reduced in size on the page, but if I clicked on them the full size image came up. Is this something the forum does automatically, or is it something to do with photobucket (where I posted them from), or did somebody come along and edit them? I noticed they still seemed to take up 18 KB, and were only a little smaller, so there didn't seem much point in reducing them.

I noticed that too emptybox and i think it's something DT has in place to stop really large images taking over the site lol

Yes I have put a code in to reduce the image size as large images stretch the forum.

Hi. I was trying to use an image as a link, in the same way we worked out how to use text i.e by substituting the ] in the first url box for = , then putting the ] in at the end of the url, then putting the image boxes after that. It came up fine in preview, but no image appeared in the post? I've done the same thing successfully on Ashfans which is also a proboards forum? Has that facility been disabled here, or is there another way to do it?

Is there any way of controlling the size of an image in a post to shrink it down? I've tried adding width= and height= to the first IMG tag but that didn't work, nor did w= and h=.

However it is possible to put links into the pictures themselves using graphics software. If a picture with an in-built link is posted on here, it may be that the link would still work.
