How to link an imageThis example links to our website [URL=http://www.ashaleeen.co.uk/][IMG]http://image12.imageschack.com/some_image.jpg[/IMG][/URL] The link and image urls in the above code are just examples. You need to insert your own link and image url. [DT originally posted these instructions on another thread. I've copied them here so that they're easier to find - Remaha]

You can post a link to another thread by copying the url of that thread and enclosing it in url tags For example: See Resources[url=http://fakersforais.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=ch1&action=display&thread=1159755349&]Resources[/url]
Or
See [url]http://fakersforais.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=ch1&action=display&thread=1159755349[/url] The linked thread opens in a new window. Does anyone know how to prevent this. The answer may be browser dependent. My second question is does anyone know how to link to a specific post on the thread?

That's embarrassing, I'd never noticed that "link to post" thing

Just trying out my new found skill. I right clicked the "Link to post" link, selected "Copy shortcut" and then pasted the link in the normal manner. Let's see whether it opens in a new window . . Link to Tyson post on ResourcesAnswer . . yes it still opens in a new window

an option for opening a link that would normally open in a new window is to click and drag the link into the address bar of the window you already have open... if you hold the mouse over the address bar for a little while then a little square 'shortcut' icon should appear... -you don't have to hold the mouse- thats just explaining what it does... also, this will only work for direct addresses such as www.ashaleeen.co.uk/ or www.ashaleeen.co.uk/ but not javascript etc and html in Dogtireds post above
NB: i use IE so apologies if this doesn't work for other browsers
