I ran the Vista upgrade advisor today, and although it doesn't have any problems with my computer, it doesn't recognize the TV card that I've got installed, so obviously the Media Center part of Vista premium wouldn't work with it. It also said I would need updated drivers for my sound card and some other hardware. Also it didn't like the Nero program that I use for burning DVD/CDs at all. It also thought it would have some minor issues with the Zone Alarm firewall that I use along with some other software. No doubt all these issues could be sorted out, and I could always buy a compatible TV card, but it seems like an awful lot of hassle to go through unless a compelling reason for upgrade presents itself. You need Nero 7 for Vista. Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I've got version 6 at the mo, but it says I can upgrade to 7 at a discount.

Here is a link to the Apple support page for ipods/itunes docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305042Having read a lot of articles on Vista and the blocks they are putting into the software to keep the Holywood studios happy, I dont think I will be installing Vista anytime soon. In fact if push comes to shove I would install lynux rather than have my pc taken over by microscrap. I have read that a lot of hardward, video cards etc will not work at all with vista. I have a mac powerbook and Im starting to like it more than my pc

I took delivery of a new laptop on Saturday with Vista home 32bit pre-installed. I have not encountered any problems and the only software I use that will not run is RADMIN for which I need an upgrade. The upgrade is being provided for me FOC so I am a happy bunny. It takes slightly longer than XP to boot but it seems more responsive when in use.

I've just bought a new laptop and insisted that it came with XP Pro as I simply cannot afford for it not to work for the software that I use. I plan to install Vista as a dual boot to test it out in the future. I notice that this is what PCW Magazine is recommending for anyone planning to upgrade their own computer.
I run four operating systems on my PC - XP Home, XP Pro, Windows 98 and Mandrake Linux - just showing off here - I don't actually use most of them except for testing and, in the case of Linux, idle curiosity!

Is it complicated to install operating systems as dual boot?

Is it complicated to install operating systems as dual boot? No it's not complicated. You need 2 hard drives or 2 partitions. You should have XP running first on one partition/hard drive and then install vista on the second partition/hard drive.
