Is this something to do with the V21 and Biscuit saga? The Internet must seem a pretty dismal place, back on dial-up.

Yes EB it is v21/biscit/netservices barstewards It is awful, especally here in threads with lots of images in them.

Clash, whether your wireless BB connection is free or not, the number of people trying to use it at any one time degrades response times for each individual.
For example, 8 people sharing a 8MB connection will slow things down even if the signal strength is 100%.
You would actually find things better if you were the only person connected and the signal strength was, say, 40%.
So, the answer to your question may depend on the time you are logged on. Early evening is likely to be slow. Insomniac type hours are likely to be faster.
We have wireless and if my son is playing Guild Wars, it seems to hog the internet bandwidth almost to the exclusion of everyone else because the game is internet-based and has to be continually updated.

What you said makes a lot of sense, Remaha. I do have fewer problems in the early hours, but weekends especially can be very slow.
