Almost as much as the comment they made about Aisleyne not being portrayed in a negative light. They can only show what she did, blah blah blah...yeah but when it's shown out of context that IS showing in a negative light. The content was right but the context total b*llox.

Ch4 don't seem to have thought this whole thing through. I mean any of it. When someone says 'I'm going to beat her up' and the host of that show says, 'that'll make good telly' or whatever it was he said, surely that is blatant approval of that statement? CH4 could get way with the comments from the girls with a disclaimer, but from Russel? And like battybetty just said, how are we supposed to know how those comments were intended? It's all about perception and Ch4 seem to have only looked at one possibly interpretation of those events.

What they need to realise is those people who did take it as tongue in cheek are NOT the entirety of their viewers. They may like to think the viewers of BB are all cool, street wise, pro BB and it's sister shows and slaves it it's decisions, but if they fail to acknowledge the rest of it's viewers who are not the naive minority but actually the reasoned majority of the viewing public, then this will come back and bite them on the backside.

I really Hope we an make them sweat on this one. I know it's not realistic to think we can make a whole corporation u-turn and apologise, but I so hope we can become that pain in the arse that just keeps bugging.

I actually find their statement patronising, how dare they brush this off a 'joke'. That IS infact how many 'bullies' get away with it. I've heard it used as a defence by bullies many times. The stupid thing is thay usually do get away with it. And I'm tired of it being used as such.

Like the rest of you, I have bullying issues, and the way the BB forum went - all cliquey and being bullied if voicing a different opinion saddened and angered me.
I loved this forum, and went on when I could.
Wanting to be part of it all I reponded to a suggestions thread - and while saying how much I enjoyed the site, wondered what people thought about reversing the order threads were posted, giving my reason, and saying I may be a minority of one so won't 'get precious'.
Dogtired kindly suggested I open a poll.
I was really excited at this, but I dont know how to do it, so posted asking if someone more knowledgable could do one for me.
Robbie very kindly did one for me.
I came on board this morning to find someone had seen this as a 'complaint' in their very abrupt reply.
I have apologised all round - especially to Robbie who took the flak.
Why am I talking about his?
Because I very nearly bowed out as usual without saying anything - I sense a thin edge of the wedge here.
But what example is that after endorsing this very lovely thread (I have an autistic grandson)
to just say nothing as usual.
So - more in sorrow than anger - I feel bullied now, and don't have to put up with it, so pressing 'rehab' the( X on the top of the page) - but just wanted to wish you all well.

I have just read the thread and TBH I didn't take that comment in quite the same way, only after your post above did I see how that may have been taken. I'ts hard to judge on any forum the intended 'tone' of a post even with smileys. Some people don't like using them and posts could easily be interpreted differently.

I have been accused of being 'short' with people on the BBGF before, but it was a simple misunderstanding and lack of time to convey what I wanted to say in better words.

I hope feel you can continue to post here. I'm sure if that person realised just how that comment affected you they will apologise and understand.

I too sent an email complaining about the ex-house mates threatening Aisleyne on BBBM, but they did not even have the decency to reply to my email.

Don't know if this is the right place but I just wanted to offload my experience of bullying and how it ties into my support for Ashaleeen.

I have a mother who does not want anything to do with me and my daughter because of religious reasons. I also have been ostracized and bullied by other members of my family because I spoke out about some abuse in my family. I identified with Ais when she made a stand against something she thought was wrong and how this seemed to make her a target.

I joined the BB forum so I could express my views and was so heartened because I was not a 'lone voice in the wilderness' for a change. It was in this way that I found being a FAKER quite therapeutic in some ways.

I think the treatment of Ais was appalling, and I do believe that the stand 'we' made ie complaining and campaigning on her behalf made all the difference, and as i've said before it was and is still great to be part of such a vibrant and sound bunch of peeps. I wear my FAKER badge with pride. Aisleyne was in bits on the final day right up until she realised she was 'top girl'. The treatment I received from certain people in my family has, at times, left me in bits, but yes, its all been about self-confidance in the end and being true to myself.
