Website - comments and suggestions

Hi everyone,

We thought you might like to make some suggestions about things we could do to improve the website, you know ashaleeen.co.uk/.

What would you like to see that's not on there?

How can we improve on what we've already got?

To give you an example, I'd like to be able to click on the pictures in the gallery and see the full version, although there may be copyright issues there.

Please post your ideas in here.

I had thought about that, but most of the pics are small from various websites, so they would not look much different.

There are copyright issues on all of them......suchhhhhhhhhh

Copywrite does not stop you from setting up a page of links to other web pages with a comment on the content of the web page it links too. That way people use you as their home page to follow their interest.

I have put two new pages on the site.

An addvertisement page, which will hopefully generate a small amount of money towards the hosting fee. This will also help with our ratings in google and other search engines.

And a Forum page with intstructions written by remaha. Hopefully people will read that before coming here. The forum page has a small bug which I will sort later.

I would suggest making it a single click to get from there to here.

As it is there are about 3 links to the forum, but not on the home page.

Just a minor point, and it's certainly not difficult to find your way here.

All in all, a very attractive and well designed site.

That's deliberate emptybox.

The reason we've done it is so that new members have to go to the page with the joining instructions about the Forum. Lots of people have had difficulty getting in. My guess is it's people like me who're still using lower res monitors that can't see the boards when they first get there. People that use a resolution of 1280 x 960 or higher (like in the screenshot on the website) probably don't have the same problems.

So whilst it's a bit of pain for people that have already joined, we'll see whether it helps in terms of gaining entry.

I've added the Forum home page to my favourites btw to get round the problem.

Thanks for your comments though and, you never know we may change things back again so that there is a direct link on the Home page. Maybe we should have a Members link and a Non-members link?

I will be removing the "guestbook" and replacing it with simething else.
It has become something it was not intended to be.

I've noticed on the homepage that the time on the clock is wrong. It appears to be an hour behind.
