I'm still watching CBB, but not spending any money on Endemol, and I'm still posting on BBGF (and getting consistently deleted!). I'm very surprised that Ais hasn't been interviewed for her opinions on the bullying. They've interviewed some really strange people, but not her.

Yes the BB7 Aisleyne experience has killed most of my enthusiasm. I only joined the C4 forums cos of Aisleyne. She was really special, and possessed all the qualities I admire. I joined, as I couldnt understand why she was being overlooked by the various BB shows. It was delightful to find like minded people on BBGF in Summer 2006.
The two worst behaved HMs ( Nikki, Grace ) were feted by Endemol. They've enjoyed the most success in the media + got the breaks since BB7 ended. Says it all really. Nasty sensationalist antics win out over plain human decency.
I agree with nobrains above. You can behave how you like in the house - they'll edit it + spin it to give out another reality.
Often it seems the result is a foregone conclusion in the cynical Endemol culture . Or so they thought.
Look whats happened now. BB7 was very much the precursor to this current shameful mess i.m.o. ( encouraging a bully, selecting a "chosen" one to win ).
Theres a certain satisfaction now, that what goes around has come around for Endemol. They deserve it.

Hey Belle! Unless there's two of you, you've been a great LUTer this year. As odm said in another thread, it was great to see a sort of "reunion" of Ais fans in a thread about her on the C4 forum recently.

As a new member, please forgive me if I go on about stuff that's been discussed before. I've always thought that BB was a great idea, but didn't like the obsession with dumbing down to get good ratings. I have always loved the idea of the people deciding on the outcome of the contest. The concept of "You Decide" was fundamental to the meaning of the show. As the producers spoiled that concept with bias and fixing the show to get Nikki back in, they effectively killed off the show in my opinion. Although I visit BB forums for news, I will never watch the show again. Although I first encountered Ash on BB7, my support for her, the disgusting way she was treated by producers, and the Nikki's return final twist put me off BB for life.

Jade Goody, Jo SS Club 7 and Grandad fixated Danielle Lloyd have put me off BB for life to be honest.

I'm quite sure they won't mess with the voting again, there was too much controversy over it. Personally, I enjoyed the way it worked out. It injected some excitement at a normally boring winding down phase of the show. As to how they treated Aisleyne, the only questionable thing for me was the Machiavellian test on Big Brother's Big Brain. That was extremely prejudicial and could well have fed the cynicism that surrounded her. I never had any problem with the editing of the highlight show or BBLB and the only problem with BBBM came from the audience I love the show and I'll be glued to it next year the same as always Regards Julian

From my point of view, I suspected bias when I started watching the more of the E4 coverage (after the World Cup and even more in the school holidays). I remember Davina making little digs about her almost every Friday. For some reason, she found Aisleyne's crying amusing, seemingly implying it was fake. If sections of the public accused Ash of being fake, all of the presenters seemed to echo their sentiments and fuel the hatred even further. I found the reaction of the public and the presenters difficult to comprehend. She was slaughtered for getting upset after evicting Jonathon. I remember Dermott saying that he couldn't understand why Aisleyne was so unpopular, but when Nikki was fairly evicted he wore black armbands to imply that the nation was in a state of mourning. I went on BB forums to see if I was losing my marbles. Surely there was bias. Pro-Aisleyne threads appeared to counter the haters and they all talked of bias. That's when I discovered the Fakers. I will accept, however Julian, that the show was perhaps not as biased against Aisleyne as I suspected at times. I admit that I watched the show from the an extremely biased standpoint. By the penultimate week, I was looking for biased editing, anti-Aisleyne presenters, negative comments on the BB website news stories, misrepresentation of public opinion and Ash-bashing from the media. At the time (at least in my head), all of the above seemed in plentiful supply. The strength of support for Aisleyne towards the end of the show and the fanaticism of organisations such as the Fakers did not happen for no reason. Why am I still babbling on about it so long after the show? My family think I've gone mad.
