Property experts Jonnie Irwin and Jasmine Harman help Big Brother 7 housemate Susie Verrico spend over £1.5 million on two properties both home and away. She wants a pad in West London and a holiday home in Marbella. It sounds easy, but Susie's a real tough customer and knows exactly what she wants!

You got me thinking. . I had never thought that the whole show would be an advert when I have seen these kind of shows in the past. I know Susie wanted exposure and £4000 for a golden ticket is one thing but £1.5 million is a bit excessive just for TV exposure. Maybe they are just done as an advert.

Hi Prem, well the reason I say this is because so many people turn around and say that they are not putting in offers etc or they are going to look around a bit longer or go and think about it.. I have seen a lot of that happening. I watched relocation relocation tonight about a couple who wanted a place in Scotland...and they supposedly did buy one of the properties.

It could be that some of the programmes are genuine but overall I think some of them are 'made' purely to market certain properties too particularly the ones abroad....

Anyway its just a thought..

In my local paper there was a write up and they were not nice about Susie on this programme. Here is what they said.

A Place in the Sun (Channel 4 7.30pm)

Susie Verrico was the subject of this episode and boy did presenters-cum-property experts Jonnie Irwin and Jasmine Harman have their work cut out. Normally on this show, the househunting individual or couple are shown a number of houses in this country and some more overseas which match their budget and guidelines. They must then choose one of the places to buy. This edition was slightly different in that the 43 year old model and Big Brother Housemate had been given the princely sum of 1.5 million to buy both a pad in London AND a holiday home in Marbella. As her millionaire musician husband Cosmo was away on business, Susies friend stepped in his stead to help make any difficult decisions, but seeing as she merely stood around agreeing with everyone, it was a pointless exercise. The flats found by both presenters were, as you might have expected, stunning. Watching Susie flippantly turn her nose up at apartments costing more than 1 million in Kensington and Battrsea however, will have left a bitter taste in the mouth of many viewers especially as she seemed more concerned with finding a pad with a big enough walk in wardrobe than anything else.

If I ever had 1.5 mill to spend on property I would want it to be perfect as well. You can afford to be choosy when you have that kind of budget. I have recorded the program but not watched it yet but will hopefully later today.
