You know what these papers are like with their headlines. It will be interesting to see what he actually said.

Well I get less impressed with what is in the papers as much as anyone else. What annoys me is that we the general public are treated like goons . Surely Pete cannot think the public will be very amused with this headline especially if they BELIEVED the pikki thing. His credibility along with Nikkis will be sailing along the gutter in the next round of rainfall silly sods.

I NEVER WANT TO SEE NIKKI AGAIN ... SHE’S HORRIFIC BIG BROTHER EXCLUSIVE by JAMES GLOVER The Star Says: Page 6 BIG BROTHER star Pete Bennett really stuck the knife into ex-lover Nikki Grahame last night.
He blasted: “I never want to see that woman again... she’s horrific.”
Pete, 24, said he was cutting all ties with Nikki to stop her jeopardising his relationship with girlfriend Gemma Costain, 22.
And he claimed he only continued his fling with Nikki after Big Brother finished to get her the publicity she craved.
Love In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, the reality show winner said he was now headoverin love with former exotic dancer Gemma.
She has even cut short a four-month trip to Japan so she can be back in his arms for Christmas.
Reports last week suggested Pete had been given the heave-ho by Gemma and that he was struggling with depression as a result.
Some even claimed he had turned to Nikki, 24, for comfort. But in fact he and Gemma are still going strong. However, Pete is worried that Nikki could try to ruin their happiness and is desperate to get her out of the picture.
Pete said last night: “I’m fed up with being linked back to Nikki. We wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for Big Brother, and now I want to move on with my life and forget all about it.
“I really fell for Nikki in the house. I needed her there and I was seriously upset when she was taken out. I had real feelings for her and we had something when I came out.
“But then I introduced her to my friends and she was horrific. A few drinks and she really insulted them. It was so awful. I knew then I had to finish it.
“We only carried on for the publicity. We had no relationship at all after that.
“The last thing me and Gemma need now is the papers saying me and Nikki are meeting up again. There’s no way I ever want to see that woman
KISS-OFF: Pete and Nikki before the split again. Perhaps we can be friends again in the future, but not now.
“I really love Gemma, she’s my woman. I want to be with her and I don’t want anything or anyone coming between us.”
But Tourette’s sufferer Pete could well see Nikki again – at a TV awards bash later this month.
Both are battling it out in a new TV Contender category at the National Television Awards on October 31. And with the pair no longer even on speaking terms, sparks could fly.
Pop A week later, Gemma, 22, will fly back into Britain after she decided to cut short her Far East sightseeing trip with a girl pal.
Meanwhile, Pete is working with Guy Chambers, 43, former songwriter for Robbie Williams, 32, to try to get his pop career off the ground.
Record bosses are hoping his first single, Cosmonaut, will land the Christmas No1 spot.
Pete said: I want to be known as Pete the musician, not Big Brother Pete. I am more talented than you saw on that show.”

Well, Pete is only admitting that after the party (but including the J Ross show as we already know), they only carried on for the publicity and I think he's implying that he did it mainly so that Nikki could get some publicity.
In reality they had to keep the lid on the "break-up" to ensure that they could sell their stories as "exclusives".
It certainly doesn't reflect well on either of them.

I'm glad he says he had genuine feelings for Nikki in the house. Otherwise that would have made Ash an accomplice in the deception, with their late night coded 'Pope' talk.
The impression I get is that Pete doesn't really have strong feelings for any of them. Not Nikki, not Cherry or anyone else. He's too absorbed with his own problems.

He's too absorbed with his own problems. ..and always has been, imo. It always baffled me how so many people viewed Pete so differently to me when he was on the show - but it astounds me more that some still feel the same about him and consider him to be caring and naive now that hes out! So now his words to Nikki where he told her he had completely fallen for her and loved her are to be regarded as sincere as his words to Jenny about how special she was to him probably were....as sincere as his words to Lea and Lisa about how they meant a lot to him probably were as well. No surprises there, then! Pete is insincere and absorbed with himself to be interested let alone care about anyone else - and he played the others like a piano - and thats regardless of whether his latest story about a publicity stunt is true or not true. I don't take anything he says at face value anyway - he'll just say and behave with what he thinks will suit him best at the time. As an Ais fan, I hope she stays mates and doesn't allow him to manipulate her in the same way. She was wise to draw back from him in the house - I'm sure things worked out better for her because she did (you only have to look at the fate of Lisa, Lea, Nikki and Jenny) - I just hope she does the same now shes on the outside. As I've said before, going on Petes past behaviour and character, it wouldn't surprise me at all (now that he needs attention for the book) if he made a move on Ais, now that he knows shes popular. A bit of a far-fetched theory, but I wouldn't put anything past Petey. And Ais deserves better than him.
