Work - pre Big Brother

Aisleyne worked in a hairdressers during her early teens and used the money to pay for her fares to go to school.

It was reported in the Sunday Mirror that she'd done a make-up and beauty course at college with the help of a Prince's Trust grant. She also worked part-time in a shoe shop. This may be where someone approached and offered to pay her for wrapping Christmas presents at £5(?) per present.

Promotions work
Aisleyne's promotions work included jobs for Virgin Group (mobile phones, trains and Virgin Bingo). The picture on the following site was used by Virgin Bingo when they launched their site - www.freebingo.co.uk/news/news-view.asp?page=34 . She mentioned Richard Branson in the BB house.

Aisleyne has also done lots of promo work at car and motorcycle shows (inc. modified cars) plus some photos in car magazines.

IKEA promotions girl
Aisleyne dressed up as Pippi Longstocking for a job just weeks before going into the Big Brother house while working as a promotions girl. With her blonde hair hidden beneath a ginger pig-tailed wig, Aisleyne was working for furniture giants Ikea when this picture was taken¹.

She dressed up as the Swedish character to entertain customers at the company's store in Croydon, South London. A colleague revealed: "Aisleyne was great. She was dancing along with the music, handing out sweets to the children and even helped out with the face painting. She was incredibly popular, so everyone was delighted when they heard she had been booked to return a few weeks later for another Bank Holiday.

"Aisleyne told us she was on holiday in Turkey, but would be returning in the morning and would be able to make it.

"So when she didn't show up, another girl had to be rushed there to take her place and we were all worried about her.

"It wasn't until she showed up on Big Brother we realised she'd been whisked away by the producers to keep her identity secret."

Boob gazing Aisleyne sacked
The Sun ran an article claiming that Aisleyne was ditched as a promo girl — after disappearing for hours to stare at her fake boobs ("Boob gazing Aisleyne axed").

The article tells how Aisleyne blew £4,000 on her "heavy-duty DD cups" last summer and then landed a glamour job with Capital Event Marketing. Apparently, the London-based firm sent her to hand out a newly-launched drink at a posh classical music concert at Hampton Court Palace. But she refused to carry any trays of drinks claiming it may damage her boobs. And at one point she hid in a toilet for two hours to ogle her new falsies.

A source at the party said: “She was pretty useless from the word go. “She’s a good-looking girl — but lazy. She thought she’d been hired to wander round looking sexy and vanished. One of the other girls found her two hours later in a cubicle, checking her breasts with a mirror. She’s obviously proud of her assets and was looking after them like two newborn babies.”

She appeared as a clubber in the British film 'Rollin' with the Nines' released in April 2006. She has a page on the International Movie DataBase (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2292466/). She is also credited on the IMDb website's page for 'Rollin' with the Nines' (see www.imdb.com/title/tt0437459/).

Aisleyne also claims to have danced in music videos, without any corroborating evidence as yet.

She also said she'd featured in a documentary about reality TV that was shown in Africa, again no clips of this have been unearthed.

Pre-BB incidents

BB Trial House
According to the Sunday Mirror (25th June 2006), Aisleyne was a big hit on Big Brother even before she even joined the other contestants: "The fiery promotions girl was a guinea pig in the trial run for the current show but had to be 'evicted' by security guards. Ms Horgan-Wallace had an almighty bust up with a man in his 40s, another would-be contestant, just two weeks before this series started. Transsexual Sam was also on the trial run and made it on to the real show along with Aisleyne. They had to pretend not to know each other as BB rules state only strangers should be housemates. A BB insider said: 'Aisleyne was ejected but was still considered good enough to be a proper housemate.'"

Aisleyne's gran tells of her BB fears
According to the Daily Mirror (27 June 2006), Aisleyne's gran Maureen Wallace was on the brink of calling international police to track her down when she disappeared before Big Brother began. The 65-year-old told how she feared a repeat of the heartbreaking time her granddaughter vanished suddenly with her mum Sophie Horgan at the age of five - and was not seen again until 13 years later when she was 18.

Maureen almost called Interpol when Aisleyne, 27, failed to return on time from a trip to Egypt with a flatmate. She said: "I thought, 'Oh no, please don't let it happen again'. I was in a terrible state. I rang Scotland Yard and told them about what happened in the past. They contacted Egyptian police. Aisleyne was having dental treatment and was delayed. She rang to say, 'Why did you do that'? But she understood."

Boob job
Aisleyne's boob job cost £4,000. I think she had it done overseas.

The Sun article (Boob gazing Aisleyne axed) tells a story related to her boob job.

More Magazine (12 September 2006) asked: "Do you worry about your body like lots of other girls?"
Ash: "Not really. I put on weight around my tummy in the house but I don't mind. I don't want to be scrawny like Nicole Richie. I like Charlotte Church-type curves. And I won't have any more surgery. I only had the boob job for business reasons."

Other family
Aisleyne has an aunt called Suzie/Suzanne/Susan or something like that. Russell spoke to her on the phone on BBBM one week. Presumably she is from the Wallace side of the family (her dad's), in which case Aisleyne would not have had any contact with her between the ages of 5 and 18.
