Would like to meet Aisleyne - have met other stars in the past but my ambition this year while in London is find patrick swayze lol and will be in Nottinghill area so who knows what i find and bump into - not met anyone on here - find it easier that you get to know the people on here first

So I'd imagine Ill just have to be satisfied with admiring her from afar. You're never too old to get invited to celeb style parties! Just wear big gold chains, grow a beard and dye it funny colours and make like a manager. :-) I got invited to a celeb party backstage at a Toyah gig at the Marquee once. I found the best way to get chatted up was not to recognise anyone (because then you look really nochelant and cool), and the best way to get dropped pretty quickly is to not recognise a well-known hit-merchant when they ask you if you recognise anyone. Say 'no' when they ask you if you recognise anyone and you're dumped baby! I have, you see, this amazing knack of not being able to recognise people out of context, and the celeb who had been eyeing me up all evening because I was near the sound desk (I had been invited by the Rodie) was just a bit too wierd looking for me, and I always went for guys with long hair in those days (about 10 years ago). Now, would I have changed my mind if I had recognised him? Probably! I was a serious aspiring singer/songwriter in those days, and he would have been a fantastic contact to have, and I did quite like his music. Remember "Are Freinds Electric?" You won't go far wrong with a guess if you do  However, I guess my days of pulling celebs are over now, even if I wasn't such a dosie mare that I miss every single darned opportunity life ever puts in my way - like Suzie Quatro in Folkestone but I was too smashed to behave sensibly. Tut! I am embarassed at myself, I shall remain a nobody forever.  |

Thanks for the advice Caz. I've been mulling it over for a while now and thought I'd let carrickmac try it out first. It's not that I wouldn't like to meet Ash. If she was guest of honour at a charity do, I'd probably try to attend. I'd probably end up being bankrupt bidding for something though. I tell you what I'd love to do the most though is to organize a dinner for her fans with Ash as the guest of honour. What a night that would be!!! We might end up fighting to get on the top table though!!!!!! |
