No-one seems to have reported on Ash's gig at the Chicago Rock Cafe yet so I phoned the manager there.Nice chap and was very impressed with Aisleyne as a person but sadly it was a poor turn-out.He had hoped for alot more than who came. Their clientele is 25-45 yrs old which ought to be perfect for Ash. So I suggest that her fans really get over to Newbury next month and support our girl. It's not easy to travel for many people but come on...let's see some real physical support for her next time.We love her..let's get over there and show her because you can't just rely on local support.I suggest a coach hire. Walk the talk! The manager really publicised this event,he said but people didn't make the effort. But one thing does emerge...Aisleyne really impressed the manager and those who were there. btw her nan lives in Northampton apparently. Is that the nan we saw on BBLB? I believe it is. Where is Newbury? I live in Ireland.

I looked at the Chicago Rock Cafe website and left still feeling none the wiser as to what it was all about. Is it a cafe? Is it a night club? Is it a place just for parties?
The Northampton gig was on a Friday, yes? What sort of entertainment venue wouldn't be busy on a Friday? Was it entrace by ticket only, with regular customers being turned away?
That's not how these personal appearances normally work is it? Surely they just open for business as normal and bring in the celebrity as a bonus?
Anyway, after hearing ILWM's report these places don't sound like the sort of venue I would want to frequent.

Unfortunately the October appearance at Newbury is in the same chain.
I hope they don't reconsider as ILWM says there was only 100 or so there on Friday and it cost £4 to get in.
It's good that those that were there were largely appreciative, but is perhaps another indication that her agent hasn't got her mind on the job and is letting Aisleyne's talent slip through her fingers.
Surely she could book her into places that would be able to pull in more of her fans that want to meet her?

I would have thought that the point of paying thousands of pounds to someone for an appearance is in the hope that they'll make at least that much back in extra customers? Regards Julian

For what it's worth my opnion is that if we gage the type of fan that Aisleyne has from people that have posted in Internet forums, they are all mostly older and maybe not into "venues" like this?

I suspect that this particular bar is unpopular. A club should be busy on a Friday without booking guests to appear. This is the kind of thing you would do in the week to liven up a quiet night.
