Just to let you know there was a chicago rock cafe in Plymouth Gracies home town...and it closed down. There was also one in Truro but even that is scrubbed from their list now. I dont think that these venues are popular unless they are in big populated areas....they would,nt close now otherwise would they. This Theme pub chain is like WIMPEY it has outlets all over the country....in the lesser areas, the place is not gonna survive obvious....The Pub is about food, entertainment and dancing all under one roof. You can hire for a function too..etc..have parties there, weddings blah blah..its basically a big idea place..but the main ones will be the ones in the bigger cities and they will have the guest appearances from the bigger stars or anyone that is not A list anyway. Cant imagine A listers going there, not posh enough Im afraid and security would be ESS HAITCH EYE TEE... anyway, Chico is at Yeovil I think and East 17 who have just dumped their singer is in Watford or something like that.... It is not a great venue, it would be like appearing at the old top rank suite in Brighton or if you remember the old Jenkinsons bar that used to be on the Seafront . I saw a very young Jim Davidson there, plus the Supremes, Diana Dors, Joe Longthorne, oh loads of them...its not top venues for Ais yet...Richard is doing the rounds similar if you check out my link on him...(he seems to be doing a bit more however...) anyway its just a big place that they have to fill this chicago rock link... I was gonna do a gig in one of them, but did,nt bother in the end cant remember why not, but it was a promised sort of IN venue and it just was,nt ..it was replaced up the road with YATES which was another string of pubs and thats gone as well so...oh well these venues, all the same, make a buck and then bugger off... Ais might do well in conventry there are some great venues around there/ Birmingham.. There is a great gay community there and I think she could have quite a strong gay audience both male and female. I would capitalise on that..regardless.. but then Im the type to pull out all my pockets to see what was in them...
