Channel 4 to pay £70 million for Big Brother?

According to the latest tabloids, Channel 4 might have to pay as much as £70 million to stick hold of Big Brother - almost double what is presently pays.
The show's producers Endemol are set to raise the £40 million a show bill after ITV stated that it plans to bid for BB9 planned for 2008.
The popular reality TV show, whose champion this year was Pete Bennett is one of Channel 4's rating grabbers.
The new contract would include production of the main programme and spin offs as well as Celebrity Big Brother, states the Sun newspaper.
