I have recieved a letter from OFCOM this morning regarding my complaint about Big Brothers Big Mouth. Apparently they can't do anything about the behaviour of the rejected housemates unless Aisleyne makes a complaint herself. It seems they do not take into account how young people watching the program may have their behaviour affected by seeing such behavior on TV.
It makes you wonder what a TV program can't show.

I feared this might happen.
What IS the point of Ofcom? Everything's a whitewash, especially when it comes to BB.

I've just received my reply today. 6 pages of it. I'm really concerned because although it mentions Shahbaz (repeatedly), Pete (unsuitable candidate) and Grace (with regard to condoning bullying of her at her eviction). It also goes on about the ICTIS complaint which I only made to ICTIS.
My complaint only ever mentioned Aisleyne and the effect that the condoning of the bullying of her would have on children. I don't feel that they've addressed my complaint at all.

I got that as well, I did not even complain about the money. I only complained about BBBM.
And where do they get their figures? over 500 people on the BB forum signed a petition that was sent to ofcom about BBBM and Aisleyne.
Sometimes I think these organisations are a joke.

I think one of the most serious issues for Big Brother is how many times HMs go into the Diary Room saying they are going to leave or that they've had enough and come out having been persuaded to stay. There's obviously a real conflict of interest for the Diary Room staff and I would really like to see some of the footage to discover how they pull it off. There's no doubt that, in some cases, the best thing to do would be to encourage them to leave. However, I suspect that the Diary Room staff are briefed to try to make them stay at all costs, particularly towards the end. I'm not sure they always have the mental health of the participants at the forefront of their minds. I can't remember who it was but one of the HMs (was it Dawn?) even accused them of holding her hostage this year.

They seem to have different DR operators for different things , for instance - remember the night Ash had to evict jonathan, the guy talking to her was very stern"you must choose NOW!"
I always wonder how that guy felt having reduced Ash to an emotional wreck .
