I got the idea from another thread and thought the idea deserved its own thread. I got this gorgeous picture! www.paulina.ws/prints/swanwitch.html I'm going to have a look at some of the other results later.

You lot think you have problems! Apparently I have a choice between two highly questionable namesakes.... First I am apparently a less than glamorous witch from a series of children's books, the main one I could locate being entitled 'Batty Betty's Spells'. The only picture I could find of this charming lady is this Hmmm No resemblance I assure you Secondly, and far more fascinating in my opinion, is the tale of 'Batty' Betty Broderick, an apparently notorious murderess, who killed her 'low-life' ex-husband and his mistress in 1989 after years of neglect and ultimate public humiliation in a painful, bitter and irreverent divorce case. Seems it's all a complicated business and has become an infamous part of American serial killer history and is still debated over to this day. Here are the couple in 'happier' times. This link also takes you to a bit of the history if you're intrested www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/family/broderick/5.htmlSeems its quite a controversial subject, with some people coming down quite heavily on the side of dedicated wife and mother 'Batty', as the victim of the piece, "They got what was coming to them"; whilst the other side almost worship the former husband, a big-shot medical malpractice attorney, with a lot of influential friends in high places and little time for his family. This quote is from an American forum: "Wow! I have been reading this topic over the past few days, and its pretty astounding, I must say... Not to be sarcastic, ok, so maybe a little, but I need to ask a question here... IF Dan (the Man) and Linda has been put on trial for their persecution of (Batty Betty) are people trying to say the verdict would have been guilty, and that justice would have been EXECUTION?? "Veeeerrry interesting Dr Watson! Anyway, I'm not making any judgement call in either direction. I think I would have to walk a mile in their shoes first.....

The world search is normally more interesting. Some of my BB posts appear in a UK search. Throughout the world, I'm rather better known as this rather attractive combi-boiler
