Ive put this here mainly for Carrickmac but also anyone who is interested..someone Welsh maybe? Hendrix recording of Welsh anthem found Wednesday, January 3 2007, 16:59 GMT By David Cribb A tape featuring a recording of Jimi Hendrix playing the Welsh national anthem has reportedly been discovered. The late guitarist made the recording only months before he died in 1970, according to the owner of the tape, and features a rocked-up version of 'Land Of My Fathers'. However, the authenticity of the tape is being questioned by many Hendrix followers, making owner Martin Davies keen to prove its worth. Davies, who found the tape in a tea chest, is trying to track down bass player Viv Williams, who worked with Hendrix in his later years. It is believed Williams will be able to suitably judge the validity of the recording. "We would know exactly who made the recording if we could find Viv Williams," Davies insisted. "He must now be about 64 years old. If anyone knows his whereabouts, please let us know."

I think some body like Eric Clapton would find it easy to tell if it was Hendrix or not playing ,i think a bass player would be a bad judge to ask there nearly as daft as drumers ;)and my bass needs a new g string
