Has anyone read any of Thomas Harris' books?
I'm a fan of the Hannibal Lecter books, he's bringing a new one out on the 5th of December called Hannibal Rising, I can't wait until it comes out.
Book Synopsis -
Hannibal Rising - Thomas Harris
"The Doctor Will See You Now . . .
Chill the Chianti and find the fava beans, Dr Hannibal Lecter – the most terrifying, yet skin-crawlingly compelling creation in modern literature – is back! The very embodiment of evil, Lecter first appeared 25 years ago and immediately became the psychopath all others would be judged by. In this truly outstanding prequel, Thomas Harris delves deep into the depraved world of Hannibal’s childhood. Dare you look behind the mask and witness the birth of a disturbing legend?
Tracing Dr Hannibal Lecter’s early life from the ages of six to twenty, Hannibal Rising takes you as never before into the twisted, despicable and oh-so-intelligent mind of this most notorious of killers. Set in the post-war ghettos of Eastern Europe and France, Thomas Harris’s masterpiece of psychological suspense reveals how Lecter came to lose his family, describes his close relationship with his younger sister and gruesomely explains how he developed his taste for human flesh . . ."

I think the best film that has been made from them books is (i think its called) The Hunter , it is far better than the others

I love both Silence of The Lambs and Red Dragon equally and then Hannibal (same goes for the books). I was a bit dissapointed with the film Hannibal, the book was much better. I'm hoping that Hannibal Rising is going to be a good read (I'm sure it will be) and hopefully there'll be a film made of it eventually.

I've seen Manhunter advertised before but I always miss things on TV as I forget a lot , if you do see it on that'd be great if you could remind me, then I can see if it's exactly like Red Dragon
