Once upon a time many years ago when I was just a I had to go to . Sadly some of the formed a group and the leader of the group took delight in turning us against each other, I admit to my shame that when it wasn't my turn to be picked on I also joined in and bullied the whose turn it was that week. She sadly eventually left the and went to another one where she was ok. All the bullying made me really and I used to cry myself to sleep each night. Instead of being sensible and telling my or my I turned to . But that was many years ago, today if you are being bullied in whatever form it takes you really need to tell someone . We have to because bullying is a serious matter and the effects can last for years

HG, you have done a grand job with your smiley story and it looks fantastic on the website (DT you have done HG proud there).
I wasn't sure whether this would work at first but am happy to admit that I was completely and utterly wrong (not for the first time and probably not for the last - so hats of to ODM for the idea too).
I look forward to seeing more of the same.

I have the story written by my 10 year old grandaughter. It needs pictures and stuff, but we didn't have the time to look for them. I wondered if those who have had more luck than me in finding pictures if they could put their ideas in. Sorry it is only half done, but she was keen to get her story on the board, but has had to go home soon and could not finish.
One day two friends Sophia and Hannah were walking in the playground The were walking across the playground when all of a sudden 4 bullies Chelsea, Bianca, Gemma and Sarah started chasing the two friends and trying to call them hurtful names whilst catching Sophia up. Then suddenly Sophia felt someone catch the scruff of her t-shirt it was Bianca the most horrible girl in the school. Hannah carried on running then realised Sophia wasn’t there so she stopped turned around and about two metres away. Sophia was standing in front of the bullies Bianca still holding the scruff of her t-shirt. Sophia said, “I cant get away” “Sophia try to run” replied Hannah “no they are too strong” she exclaimed “join us or we wont let you go “ Gemma threatened. “Ok ill join you but promise you won’t hurt Hannah”, “ok we promise” they said while they grinned.
The next day Hannah decided to join the group they let her in but started taking the micky out of her. Every time Hannah went to them in the playground she would see them whispering and laughing at her. Most days they wouldn’t let her play the games they were all playing. They started telling other people lies about her and getting her into trouble. She started to feel very lonely and sad.
One day she could stand it no longer and went running into the quiet area. She sat down and cried her poor little heart out. The teacher spotted her and came over. “What’s the matter sweetie” said the teacher. “these kids are bullying me” she replied “that's not very nice of them, if you feel sad and need to talk to someone that knows how you feel, you can phone this number. the teacher gave her the number for ” she said ”ok ill try” it took 3 whole days for Hannah to pluck up the courage to phone them, but after talking to them she felt much better. The next week she thought she would try to be strong and so she finally plucked up the courage and slowly walked over to the 5 girls and she said” you stop bullying me or your going to get in trouble I don’t want you bullying me and you will not ever succeed”.
Hannah went home as happy as she could ever be that day. The next day she went up to Sophia and said”are you still my friend or not” “of course ill leave them now and you can come around my house and have tea ok” So the two friends walked all the way to sophias house and had tea and they always stood up for themselves forever more
Moral: Never let people bully you always stand up for yourself Link to Post - Back to Top Logged

CS, I'm sorry but I ididn't see yours when I was busy complimenting HG. What a talented family, that's all I can say.
And lyn1, your grandaughter's story is very touching. I can't believe she's only 10. She writes better than most graduates coming out of colleges and universities these days (no offence to those of you who are college lecturers DT).
DT, when you put it on the website, make sure to leave it exactly as it is. Lyn, now that I'm writing this message I can't remember whether you mentioned your grandaughter's first name. You may prefer not to give it. If that's the case, we should put "Name supplied but withheld" or something. However it would be nice to have a first name. Whay do you think?
