SHE was the nation’s favourite villain after Big Brother 7, but now Grace Adams-Short is winning friends again thanks to her circus skills.
The pretty dancer from Plymouth is proving a real winner in Sky One’s hit Sunday night reality show, Cirque De Celebrite.
And she’s promising that she’s a reformed character from the cruel girl we all loved to hate.
“There’s no time for bitchiness on this show,” she told us. “We are all too shattered from the training!”
Grace, who performed with a giant ball last week, has been working night and day on her trapeze skills ahead of Sunday’s show and says that she is enjoying the tough schedule.
“It’s started to get really tough. I was up at six this morning and I’ve spent the day hanging by my ankles. I’ve been in agony,” she said.
“It’s totally different from Big Brother, where you’re just bored out of your mind sitting on a bean bag all day. People are seeing a different side to me on this show."
And it seems as if people are warming to Grace.
“I came out on Sunday and I got the biggest cheer. It was weird - I’m used to people booing,” she added. “People see a different side to me on this show and they’re not giving you a character by editing what happens.”
Grace thinks that her Big Brother housemates would struggle to keep up in the circus, with one exception - her own fella Mikey!
“He would be alright because he’s really strong and physical and fit,” she swooned. “The others wouldn’t cope.”
When the circus is over, Grace is looking forward to spending more time with her handsome Liverpudlian fiancé.
“Me and my family are going up to Liverpool to spend Christmas with Mikey’s family,” Grace revealed. “Our families get on well so that’s great.”
Before that, though she has to master the skills of the trapeze and high wire.
“I love it. I might run away and join the circus after it’s over,” she laughed.
“Plus, I’m a goodie not a baddie for a change.”
My view on all this is as follows:-
I see they are going a long way out to help to redeem Grace's public character. This show is very different to BB7. They are not locked up 24/7, I don't even think they live together. I am not saying that people should hate Grace but she has given the game away as to what sort of person she is by the way she has treated Susie since she left the house, and her smug attitude in the house next door etc etc . Nothing has changed IMO and it sickens me that people are trying to pull wool over people's eyes. She is trying to loose the bi@tch/bully tag but it does not mean she isn't one anymore. Why is it so difficult for Grace to apologize and make peace with the likes of Susie etc... Till this day she stands by the way she treated her and what she has called her in public until Susie's solicitors gags her. (Isn't she having to kick people off the show she is appearing in..) She's probably laughing all the way to the bank plus she is fooling a very gullible and fickle audience. If Grace had re-tracked on what she said about Susie and others, I would have believed the hype, but I don't. One of the things I really really detest about her is that she dissed others in the house for doing lads mags but when she came out what did she do. You know the funny thing I think she will end up being the most successful BB7 house mate. It is certainly looking that way. I really don't care because I will not be watching anything she appears on or buying any mags she and Mikey are in. I did buy heat to read about her attack I wanted to hear what she had to say for herself but never again. What we saw on BB7 was the real Grace in my opinion. On cirque DE celeb she is demonstrating her skills, which is not difficult for her because she is a dancer. Her character is one thing her skill is another. Being good at a particular skill doesn't make you a good person. One of the reasons I noticed/warmed to Ash was the cruel way she was treated and Grace was one of the biggest culprits calling her a d*g ghetto ho and a w*gger among other things. Her new found popularity because of her skill doesn't make me suddenly start liking her sorry I am not that fickle. I can see her doing loads of mag articles when she comes out about how she is a reformed character and how people love her now. (another reason to milk it financially) I think I am going to be sick.....
I am not going to watch BB next year. Grace is one of the reasons, and I do not wish to be manipulated or cheated by Endemol again. Ash should have had far better opportunities than she has IMO. Or maybe I am wrong maybe she has chosen to take the path she is walking in, only time will tell. Maybe she doesn't think of herself beyond being in the lads mags etc. I think she wants to work on Radio, why doesn't someone give her a chance. Maybe in the future, guys I just don't think that appearing in BB7 has done her much justice so far maybe I am wrong. Why should Grace the bully/b*tch come out almost looking respectable (huh but I am not fooled) while it seems that at times Ash has gone to desperate measures to keep her picture in the papers. (Maybe it's just how I see it). However Ash is being slated on other forums for some of the photos it makes me sad. I hope more opportunities land on Ash's lap so that she doesn't have to compromise herself so much which I think she is doing IMO. Okay she is a glamor model, but maybe she could have taken a different direction if she had been given the opportunities, like Nikki and Grace.
Sorry this is so long but I had to get it out and remember it is just my opinion.
In the picture of Grace in the Sun she looks like Bonnie Langford perhaps they were separated at birth
