Hope she'll get to her target. We need to keep publicising this on the various Ash sites. The DS lot are willing her to get a miserly amount I'm sure. Grrr I can't understand why anyone would be so petty when it comes to charity and a good cause too.

I'm in a moral dilemma over this. It's clearly a good cause and I'd like to help Aisleyne reach her target but I have always had a problem with cancer charities and medical charities in general. I always wonder what kind of research my donation would be helping to fund. If experiments on animals are involved then it's not something I would be able to support with a clear conscience however much I might want to for other reasons.

It wouldn't be my first choice of charity either Clash although, as a smoker, I'll probably have a vested interest in them finding a cure for cancer one day! So it was probably easier for me to lend my support. I think the justgiving website is a fantastic idea though. And if Aisleyne only draws a bit more attention to that, she'll have done a good job.

to be honest i dont see a problem with animals being tested on for medical purposes, youve just got to ask yourself whats more important, animals or your family, friends etc.

Unfortunately we live in a world where people think they are more important than animals.
I would have liked to see Ais back anti bullying personally and I wont be supporting this Campaign out of principal.

Unfortunately we live in a world where people think they are more important than animals. I would have liked to see Ais back anti bullying personally and I wont be supporting this Campaign out of principal. I think that I and my family are more important than animals... to me. I consider myself an animal lover and I don't believe in making animals suffer (I regularly donate to IFAW and the RSPCA and occasionally PETA) but if I have to make a choice between a human's well being vs. an animal's well being there is no contest. It's not about humans being more important than animals it's about loyalty to your own kind. Self-preservation is a fundamental law of nature and animals would be no less 'selfish' in protecting their own. I would not be in favour of unnecessary or inhumane animal experimentation but I'm certainly not against all experimentation where the end result is to save lives. I give regularly to several cancer charities including Cancer Research and I have no hesitation about it at all. Regards Julian

I dont support Animal Testing and I think Aisleyne should have supported bullying as that is the reason I supported her in the house.
