Fairs fair, Leona totally nailed it tonight. The song was perfect for her voice and apart from one or two unnecessary overly Mariah-like embellishments, it was a powerful performance and showcased her voice to it's absolute best. **Kinda wish she hadn't spoken afterwards though, something about her is still irritating me ** Ben was also a class act, with his unexpected smoother than silk ballad tonight. He was hot stuff. I felt Ashley was a fish out of water with this evenings musical style but he still put in a fair effort at making the song his own. Still love, love, love Robert to bits. He was fab, fab, fab!

..and a bit about Ashley My favourite.
28 October 2006 ASHLEY'S ANGUISH By Stewart Maclean ASHLEY McKenzie's family yesterday revealed how his soulful performances on X Factor are fuelled by heartache over his boxer uncle's suicide.
The singer was 10 when his family was "torn apart" after rising star Dudley McKenzie, 33, took an overdose of pills. And those close to him believe the grit and determination that have seen Ashley tipped for a place in the competition's final was inspired by his tragic loss. Yesterday, Dudley's brother Clinton, himself a celebrated boxer, said: "Dudley was the sixth best in Britain when he died, but we always knew he was the best boxer in the family and he'd have been a real star. "He was a typical McKenzie. He was determined and hard-working - just like Ashley now. "When we look at our children and teenagers, we see that fighting spirit in them and we know the memory of Dudley is always there spurring them on."
A friend of Ashley's added: "Ashley has often spoken of his close family and it's true they are a tight bunch who shaped him into the guy he is. "They were all devastated when Dudley died. His boxing career was blossoming and nobody could understand what had happened. "Ashley and some of his cousins were at an impressionable age and it had a huge effect on them. But it's made Ashley even more determined to succeed and the pain of the memories definitely inspires his singing." Dudley, the younger brother of Ashley's van driver dad Leroy, was the fourth professional boxer in the McKenzie family when he died in 1995, along with former welter weight British champion Clinton, former flyweight world champion Duke and former national amateur champion Winston. Before his suicide Dudley, an ex-solicitor's clerk, had fought 16 pro bouts and won a place in the Guinness Book of Records as seven-times All England Schoolboys Champion. He was found dead in the bath in his home in Bromley, Kent, after overdosing on paracetamol and painkillers dextromethorphan and phenylpropanomaine. The coroner ruled he took his own life and died of poisoning and drowning. Last night Clinton, 51, revealed how the family struggled following their loss. He said: "It tore our family apart and we don't like to talk about it. We had no idea how unhappy he'd been and we've never really got over it. "We're such a close family, our strength and success has always come from the fact we look out for each other and although there are loads of McKenzies now, we've all stayed close to each other and been there for each other. "Dudley's death was awful, it hit us hard. How do you get over something like that? We were wondering for ages, why would he do that? What could we have done to stop him? "A lot of the children, including Ashley, were really young when it happened and it was horrible trying to explain what had happened when we didn't understand it ourselves."
If former model Ashley, from Croydon, Surrey, finds lasting fame on X Factor he will not just be joining his four boxer uncles as a well-known McKenzie - his cousins include Clinton's son, Coventry City striker Leon McKenzie, 28, and model Rebecca McKenzie, who is tipped as a rising star. Ashley has already won legions of fans for his performances - and show sources last week revealed he has caught the eye of fellow contestant Nikitta Angus, 18. Ashley is said to have grown close to her in the London home shared by the show's 14 remaining acts. But despite rumours of a romance, Clinton is confident Ashley will keep his eye on the X Factor prize. He said: "Ashley's an absolute star and he's going to make it big. "We were all shaken by what happened, but you only have to look at Ashley and my son Leon to see what my family can achieve. "We're right behind Ashley on the show and we know he'll do our family proud."

I was a bit shocked Dionne went I still cant really understand that either as she has a very powerful voice and so much more to project..so Im a bit confused. I have backed Ashley because I think he has the credibility for the music market despite not having the best voice..sadly the music market is not always all about the voice so I still think he has a chance. But tonight...not impressed by him mucking up...hmmmm.. Leona, well she has a fantastic voice but I cant help but dislike her entire stage manerisms as all i can see is Mariah Carey..I hear it in Leonas voice too and it puts me off which is a shame.. Glad Kerry has gone..sorry bout that, but it was best she go as she was not going to win and not fair to keep her hoping like that..shame for her though.. Robert is fast coming up in my books as a super performer and deserved of a good career.. Ben is still good, but I still wonder if he is versatile enough... It was an interesting show tonight... and I shall be keeping an eye on my favs too....

OMG Leona was amazing tonight. She definately has to win this show as she is by far the best singer on the show. Ben has an amazing voice but its not my style, but leona man can she hold a note. Ashley my little baby I felt so sorry for him tonight, I was well gutted when he fluffed them lines but oh well he recovered and showed the star I know he can be.
