Good to see Leona and Ray there still - and it looks like the second song Ray sang was quite emotional for him - glad to see they are both there
off topic who got ousted from celebrity strictly come dancing as was trying to switch back and forth in the adverts lol

Aw like you maria i LOVED sean i was welling up too im so happy he got his moment and hope he comes back next year to show us what he is made of On the final i have to say leona was amazing but in the end i fell for ray he won me over tonight and im slightly miffed at the final song that song was clearly ment for leona it was not something ray could carry off as he has such a different style i do feel that ray was slightly cheated tonight with that song but still think leona has what it takes either way ! Well done to both of them and all the contestents this year i wish the all the luck and happyness for the future x x x

There would have been no justice in this world if Ray had won. Even he knew it. It wasn't that the song chosen for the single didn't suit Ray, it was that the two versions showed the vast gulf that lies between Ray and Leona.
What they should have done anyway is have Ray's version on the B-side . . do they even do B-sides anymore?
But , oh boy, did the wind out that show. We remahas were all screaming at the telly telling them to get on with it. I swear if they'd asked Leona and Ray how they were feeling one more time or mentioned their parents, I'd have been complaining to Ofcom!
I too will be buying Leona's record. Is it Gary from Take that who said what a great responsibility Simon now has to make sure they get it right.

My goodness Rem, thought you were talking about the vinyl 45rpm then...and almost had a stifled giggle, then pulled myself clean into check...... ...The minute Leona opened her mouth on that song..I knew she would win. Ray will still have a great career.. he is like another Mickey Rooney type...I think he wont lose anything not having a singing career..as you say Leona clearly does beat him hands down for voice. I have to say though, that Ray is a lovely personality and clearly was not at all envious but acceptant that he was just gonna be glad to be there on the final night. Still like him better all round, but Leona will cut a few Cds I expect... Hope you are ok...I miss you lots....

Gosh. I was shocked when I read this...
Take That pocket £400K from 'X Factor' Sunday, December 17 2006, 11:34 GMT
By Daniel Kilkelly
Take That were paid £400,000 for their appearance on last night's X Factor finale.
The boyband performed their hit single Patience live on the show and sang a duet with winner Leona Lewis, who had been a fan of the boys when she was a teenager.
An insider told The People: "Getting Take That on the show was the ultimate finale. Show bosses wanted them there at all costs. Their fan base incorporates people of all ages. The producers wanted to show that X Factor is more than just a talent contest. With big name acts like this, it shows why it's still so popular."
Thats a lot of money..its really is....no wonder they need people to vote on this show...
