Gosh. I was shocked when I read this... Take That pocket £400K from 'X Factor' Sunday, December 17 2006, 11:34 GMT By Daniel Kilkelly Take That were paid £400,000 for their appearance on last night's X Factor finale. The boyband performed their hit single Patience live on the show and sang a duet with winner Leona Lewis, who had been a fan of the boys when she was a teenager. An insider told The People: "Getting Take That on the show was the ultimate finale. Show bosses wanted them there at all costs. Their fan base incorporates people of all ages. The producers wanted to show that X Factor is more than just a talent contest. With big name acts like this, it shows why it's still so popular." Thats a lot of money..its really is....no wonder they need people to vote on this show... and then they had to spoil it all by inviting Nikki on to present an award

Whitney tips Leona for stardom 11.38, Tue Dec 19 2006
Whitney Houston has given her backing to X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
The diva is said to be convinced the 21-year-old will be an international superstar, and has even offered to mentor her.
Leona is also being courted by music mogul Clive Davis who is keen to make her a star in the US.
The X Factor winner looks odds on to secure the Christmas number one spot.
The single, a cover of the Kelly Clarkson hit A Moment Like This, will be in shops on Wednesday.
Meanwhile Jamelia has made up with X Factor judge Simon Cowell after he called her a "one hit wonder" because of comments she apparently made about Leona.
The pop star caused an upset recently when she allegedly called 21-year-old Leona's voice "Mariah Carey circa 1990".
But Jamelia said: "I did not say anything against Leona. Simon Cowell was very silly believing what he read about what I had apparently said. But he called me and apologised for what he said."

and then they had to spoil it all by inviting Nikki on to present an award When, who and where and Why - i is lost about the presenting of award? for what lol This was on the ITV2 show, Xtra Factor Live. The public had been voting via the website for favourite clips or moments and Nikki was one of the people they got to present an award to the winner (I can't remember which one she presented). It was all a bit tongue in cheek but, yes, I can think of a few people I'd have preferred to have seen up there instead of Nikki Regards Julian

i only watched the xtra factor maybe a couple of times so hence the reason why i never watched it on the final night - did watch the final but im sooo not going to get into the hype of Leona - yes i like her, but there are few other people who i would rather have a chrsitmas number 1 and not expect the x factor to assume she is going to get it, even though the song is ice - its always preferable to who sings it originally and for a person who wins the x factor in the uk i am at a lost why she needs to be promoted in the US and with Ray, one way to knock someone's confidence by the papers across there no doubt tearing strips off them both.....ps as said like them both just be nice not for them to head somewhere else.

She doesn't need to be promoted in the US, the US producers saw her in the UK and are now fighting over her! In fact she's apparently just been offered a £5 million pound deal by a US producer Regards Julian
