I have to say i have been following the groups and over 25's and always kept missing the under 25's but i have to say Simon did the right decision in not choosing the boy with the high voice *cant remember his name* as even though he may be able to sing, he just kept breaking down and was over emotional that i don't think he would cope under pressure, hopefully Simon will keep an eye on him, and the girl in the auditions that happened to be only 14, as her voice was fantastic. Im also glad the band that Louis Walsh had to get rid of went because they were over smug to start with *i mean already signed up with an ex xfactor worker* but all in all the right bands went through, and the over 25's also even though i thought girl with the long dark hair in Sharon's group should have went through and i was rooting for the guy *sorry ever so forgetful with names at the moment till i get fully into it* lol but he was in over 25's and his girlfriend was pregnant, and i liked Nikkita, even though her Aunt never got through.

I'm pretty happy with the selections. I picked all four of Sharon's group, 3 of Simon's and 3 of Louis'.

I would have liked Stacey or Gemma to have gone through and I'm not sure about Ashley. 4 Sure's last audition didn't sound that good to me, either (I didn't like the harmonies).

Standouts for me at the moment, are Ben, Robert, Dion, Leona, Nikita and the Unconventionals. I also like Kerry, Ray and the McDonald Brothers.

Of course it could all change after hearing the live shows but I think it's going to be hard choosing a favourite this year

It was brought to my attention a couple of days ago that there are two x-factor threads - this one and one on the Hobbies/Interests Board.

I have been wondering whether to move this thread over to the Hobbies/Interests Board and suggest that you all use that Board.

However, as I am a big x-factor fan myself, I thought I'd just let you know so that you can decide which one you want to use.

I prefer it here. I always read the General board but I don't always get as far down as the Hobbies Board before my lunch break is over

I have to pick up X-factor on sunday night now cos Im working most of the week/end.

Im still sticking to my choices.. oh but I have one irritation which i have GOT to get off my chest...WHY oh WHY do they think it is necessary to cry?? they nearly all cried!!!!

One thing they will have to learn to deal with is pressure...and crying may seem like a release but it is highly unprofessional and shows their inability to deal with pressure. Sad but true. The other thing is that only RAW talent should win these shows, people who are cool and professional, commercial, hip and photogenic are the ONLY possibilities for winning..
which is why Ashley, stands out...
