No, you not completely alone hotscotch. Maybe I wouldn't go as far as saying I don't like Leona, she has a fair set of pipes on her when she gets going but I think she's probably a bit to Mariah for my palate and I don't get any sense of her personality from what we've seen.

I actually really like the macdonald brothers they made me smile and i enjoyed the song not the best singers but they apealed to me Im having trouble seeing ashley the way alot of people do too i didnt actually like the sound of his voice maybe it was the wrong song for him i dont know its a bit to soft and as cloud 9 mentioned if you just listen to the singing its not all that great dionne was not the best to look at but if it was judged by the voices alone i thought she did brilliantly she has that omph, rays nice but its so predictable he is the cute sweet guy so in all probability i think he will win .

Hi harvestgoddess. Agree with you about Ashely and Ray. And I agree that Dionne didn't deserve to be in the bottom two. I understand where you're coming from with Leona (especially since I hate Mariah Carey!)...I think she was trying a bit too hard last night to impress - her previous performances were better - and Ms Osbourne gave her good advice when she said she shouldn't try to act older than she is. I think if she takes the advice, she got enough to win it. I think her and Nikitta have the most talent - Nikitta is my number one. I think shes got the talent and the likability factor too. I hope she doesn't miss out because shes not as slim as the standard singers, though.

The McDonald brothers seem nice enough lads, have reasonable voices and harmonise well enough - I just don't see any 'x-factor' about them at all. They were pretty bland imo. (Did anyone else see the resemblance between one of the brothers and the guy who was in Tranispotting and The Full Monty? - his name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember it)

Have to say the Unconventianals were never in sync with each other, the brothers were flat as pancakes, kerry was good but should have had a longer song - it just seemed to me that she started to sing then it was finished.....Leona has an excellent voice, but i think nerves on 1st night may have been the case as with Ray he did a great job as did Ben, Ashley did good but im sure they can do better actually all did rather well apart from unconventinals and the brothers....

I tell you who I don't want to win. And that's the girl in the wheelchair. It's like Pete all over again. She's going to get the sympathy vote. She's a lovely person and she has quite a nice voice but I think Sharon put her in because of the wheelchair and the good story.

Oh dear! I feel auful to say this, but I agree wholeheartedly what you say about Kerry Rem, its just that you were braver than me for putting out..

I said exactly the same thing though to my other half..I just dont get it when they put people on who they know will win some kind of audience 'ahhhhhs'..Its mean to say it but she is there to keep people watching and cover the corner of any in similar positions and I almost feel that is 'using' disability in a wrong way.
Yes, it is similar to Pete but it is a tactic which these programmes should stop taking advantage of. They know full well that they have a specific idea of who they want to win and I really cannot see that Kerry overall would meet those requirements.. very norty of them and even more irritating to discover yet two more acts already assigned to Agents. If they decided to disqualify those acts out at this late stage they could hardly replace them now could they?....

Oh well, we are all sucked in ar,nt we!! and the stupid thing is, I really enjoy these types of programmes so I really am my own worst enemy...ha ha.

Yes loving Ben, hes great. It is unusual to have his type of vocal and persona on these shows but he stands out and I for one would like to see him do well. Rod Stewart has managed to keep himself in business and public eye despite the fact that he was an out and out rocker. He has done some really different albums ranging from commercial covers to old time music and he is still selling, so hopefully Ben will understand that the Music Industry is all about what THEY WANT if you are prepared to do it... anyway, hes great...yayyyyyyyyyxxxx


PS. When I came in last night after work I managed only to catch the results show(repeat)...but saw that Dionne was bottom two. I realised that the Unconventionals were on the way out. What a shame they were fabulous singers. The exposure might have helped them hopefully and they will get something out of this as they are too good to be forgotten... Dionne on the other hand I reackon will do very well she is great.
Noticed that she has the Tina Turner walk with a 'brick in her knickers' type lunge..hee hee.....

One thing they will have to learn to deal with is pressure...and crying may seem like a release but it is highly unprofessional and shows their inability to deal with pressure. Sad but true. The other thing is that only RAW talent should win these shows, people who are cool and professional, commercial, hip and photogenic are the ONLY possibilities for winning..

;D Hi Cloud, ashley is the boy with the very big mop of hair and the Bob Marley look. I see he is,nt too popular with some because he does come across as confident, but he does have Star potential ( nearly all pop stars have attitude lets be honest!!) Leona is wonderful, Nikita wont make it as a winner I dont think even though she is lovely, she does,nt have that 'dah dah' quality..but well, I could be wrong. Hope you okay Cloud btw..xxxx
