Thank you. I've got a loooooong way to go but it's a good start. I'm trying to do a gradual approach rather than cutting everything out and getting bored in a week or so.
I've got a voucher for free WWatchers membership so I might join this coming week even if I just go once and get their new booklets to use as a guide. I hate slimming clubs with a vengeance. I find it difficult to stick to a diet on my own but there's something about most group leaders that grates!
There's an 'independent slimming advisor' runs a few clubs a week down here - I tried to take her seriously but she looked and sounded just Marjory Dawes from Little Britain.

So where are you all? Have you lost so much weight you've all disappeared in a week? I've got a pile of 'Well dones' and 'congratualtions' here waiting to give out (and one or two 'better luck next weeks' but I'm sure they won't be needed)

I've just got back from the doctors and I've lost 5 pounds in a month whilst being on the Xenical tablets, it's not an amazing amount but at least it's something, lots of people lose around a stone in their first month but they probably eat more fat in the first place than I do so they would see a greater loss. I'm happy that I've lost something though, she's given me another months worth to try and see if I lose any more weight I'm lucky as they don't give them out freely, the tablets cost around £100 for a months worth, I guess that's why they only give them out if nothing else has worked, the only thing I can't do much of is exercise as I have a lot of pain when I do (that's a whole other story) so technically if I had exercised I would have lost more weight. I have got myself a dance mat for my PS2 as I'm hoping to do some exercising that way and then when I get the pain I can stop at anytime, I'm just looking for a game to play it with at the moment. Hopefully when I get weighed next month I will have lost more weight if I can fit some exercise in too
